BELAGAVI: Unable to bear constant sexual harassment from a man, a minor girl committed suicide by hanging at a village in Khanapur taluk on Friday evening.
The victim’s mother has lodged a complaint with the Khanapur police alleging harassment from Ratan Patil (26) of Nandalli village in Belagavi taluk, over the last one-and-half years.
The mother has alleged that Ratan Patil was harassing her daughter to enter into a relationship with him, due to which the daughter committed suicide. The police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
