KALABURAGI: Amid the controversy over the Bidar contractor’s suicide, a political sword fight has ensued between IT-BT minister Priyank Kharge and former BJP MLA Rajkumar Patil Telkur.
On Monday, Priyank Kharge had posted a photo of Rajkumar Patil’s brother G B Patil cutting a birthday cake with a sword and questioned whether it was an attempt to turn Kalaburagi into a republic. He had also questioned if the BJP leadership would try to substantiate the act.
He also said that G B Patil had insulted Dr B R Ambedkar by placing his portrait at a lower level and questioned BJP state president B Y Vijayendra whether he would visit Kalaburagi with a fact-finding committee.
On Tuesday, Rajkumar Telkur hit back by releasing a photograph of Priyank Kharge adn Dr Ajay Singh with swords in their hands on social media and said, “They can do anything, but if others do it, they start invoking the Constitution and the laws”.
