Metro trial run from Nagasandra to Madavara begins

BENGALURU: The much-awaited trial run on the extended Metro route from Nagasandra to Madavara has started today. This is the first rolling stock trial on the R-3C of the 3.5 km extended route between Madavara and Nagasandra. The trial run will be conducted at a speed of 5 kmph to 35 kmph.

All the necessary preparations are under way to start metro services in a few days. Until now, Metro services were only available up to Nagasandra, but now the route will be extended up to Madavara.

The trial run process will be conducted in three phases. The first phase will be from 5 kmph to 35 kmph, followed by 35 kmph to 60 kmph and finally up to 80 kmph.

The trial run is expected to be completed in a few days and the Metro services are likely to be opened to the public by the end of October after approved by the Rail Safety Commissioner.
