BENGALURU: The state government is planning to extend the services of Namma Metro to Bengaluru’s outskirts. Currently, the Namma Metro operates on the green and purple lines within the city, catering to around 10 lakh commuters daily.
The new plan includes expanding Metro services to Nelamangala, Bidadi and Hoskote on the city’s outskirts. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials are preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the expansion.
The BMRCL is working on the expansion project report as per the government’s instructions. Once the DPR is ready, it will be submitted to the government for approval.
