BENGALURU: Due to the ongoing transport employees strike in Bengaluru, commuters are facing difficulties in commuting. As a result, the Metro witnessed a significant surge in passengers, with long queues forming at Metro stations.
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has deployed additional staff to manage the increased passenger traffic. A large crowd has gathered at the Majestic metro station, prompting the police to increase security measures.
Many commuters are opting for personal vehicles or Metro services due to the reduced bus operations. The strike, which began today, is to seek release of pending salary dues and wage revision. The public is facing significant inconvenience due to the absence of regular bus services.
