SHIVAMOGGA: A medical representative lost his life as he crashed into a road divider while trying to avoid a deep pothole on the road in Malavagoppa, a suburb of Shivamogga, on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Mahesh.
Mahesh was riding his Ather electric bike when he tried to avoid the deep pothole, lost control and crashed into a divider before falling into the pothole. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The road in Malavagoppa has multiple potholes, and locals have repeatedly complained to the authorities about the poor condition of the road. Despite this, no repairs have been done, leading to an increase in accidents at night. Locals have blamed the lack of proper road maintenance for Mahesh’s death. Mahesh is survived by his wife and a young child.
