BENGALURU: In view of the massive spread of Covid-19 in China and some other countries, medical experts here have advised the state government to focus on the health of schoolchildren and to take precautionary measures against the spread of the disease in all schools in the state.

Health experts have suggested to the Department of Education and the Department of Health to focus on children who are not vaccinated. Necessary measures should be taken to maintain cleanliness in schools and classrooms should be sanitised frequently. . The use of masks and sanitisers in schools should be followed, they said.

Among other measures, they have suggested that if children have any health issues, they should not be allowed to attend classes. Toilets used by children should be kept clean and soap should be provided for children to wash their hands. .Arrangements should be made to separate children having cough and cold and clean drinking water should be provided in schools. If possible, hot water should be provided.

The experts also said that children should be made aware of the need to use separate plates during meals and separate glasses to drink milk.
