A few days ago, a video was widely shared on the social media platform X showing the skinning of a slaughtered animal at the samadhi of the king of the Vijayanagar empire and sellling the meat. Following this, Tourism Minister H K Patil had visited the tomb on Tuesday and an FIR was registered agaist three people.
However, the DC and the ZP CEO were not present during the minister’s visit following which Patil brought it to the attention of the chief secretary.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, villagers of Agalakera thrashed five men who were dancing naked and conducting an occult ritual at the grave of a man who had died three days ago.
The group of men had photos of three people with their phone numbers while carrying out the ritual, had kept liquor glasses and lit lamps. The men were later handed over to the Munirabad police.
