BALLARI: A massive Tricolour, measuring 80×120 feet, is flying atop the country’s tallest flag post at the district stadium in Hosapete in Vijayanagara district.

The flag post, which is 405 feet in height, cost about Rs 6 crore.

The flag post, measuring 405 feet in height, cost about Rs 6 crore and was installed to mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The flag was hoisted by technical experts on Sunday night in the presence of minister Anand Singh.

The flag post has been installed at the Hosapete district stadium.

It was initially planned that the minister will hoist the flag on Monday to mark the 75th Independence Day. However, due to technical issues, it was hoisted by the experts on Sunday night itself.
