CHIKKAMAGALUR: A group of youths, who were visiting the pilgrim place Mantralaya to offer special pujas to mark eight years of the BJP government, were initially denied a receipt for a donation towards feeding of devotees.

The temple staffer was reluctant to issue the receipt in the PM’s name.

The youths wanted to make the donation in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and insisted that the receipt be in his name. However, a temple staffer refused to write out the receipt in Modi’s name.

Despite their several pleas that they only wanted to make a donation in Modi’s name, the temple staffer kept stonewalling them.

It was only after several minutes of confrontation that the temple staffer finally relented. He then issued the receipt in the name of Narendra Modi, a resident of Varanasi.
