Mangaluru-Dammam flight cancelled after technical snag

The passengers were made to disembark till they could be accommodated on another flight.

MANGALURU: An Air India Express flight, bound for Dammam in Saudi Arabia from the Mangaluru International Airport, was cancelled minutes before takeoff due to a technical snag on Monday evening.

The aircraft was prepped for takeoff, but suddenly all the cabin lights were switched off and the passengers were sitting in the dark. Later, the passengers were made to disemark and shifted to a lounge.

The flight was scheduled for takeoff at 7 pm on Monday and was parked at an aerobridge. After the flight was cancelled, the passengers were accommodated on another flight.
