UDUPI: A cluster manager at a home appliances showroom was stabbed by a security guard and even chased on the street when he fled, last Saturday evening. The accused is absconding and the police are on the lookout for him.
Ronson Everest (36), the cluster manager at Harsha Electronics, had reprimanded security guard Prasad for indiscipline the previous day and the latter had requested not to be thrown out of his job. It was decided to discuss the issue at a meeting the next day.
After the meeting, Prasad stood waiting on the ground floor and when Ronson came there, he attacked him with a knife on the shoulder even as he was talking on the phone. Ronson managed to escape from there, but Prasad ran behind him on the street brandishing the knife in his hand. The incident was caught on CCTV camera.
The Udupi Town police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
