Man with fake air ticket, off to see woman friend, caught at KIA

BENGALURU: An employee of a private company, who had gone to the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) to see off woman friend, was arrested by airport police for possessing a fake air ticket. The woman was booked on an Akasa Air flight.

The accused, Prakar Srivatsav, went to the airport to drop off his friend. He quickly hatched a plan to gain entry into the terminal,clicked a photo of her ticket and edited it on his mobile phone to show his name. It is said that he had gone inside to help her check in different pieces of luggage, but was caught red-handed while returning from the terminal as his air ticket was found to be fake.

The CISF personnel at the airport immediately arrested Srivatsav and questioned him. Later, he admitted the truth that he had edited the ticket to gain entry into the terminal in order to drop off his friend inside the airport. Immediately, a complaint was filed at the airport police station, and the Bengaluru International Airport police registered a case and arrested him.
