BENGALURU: The accused in the murder of Bihar native Kriti Kumari at a PG accommodation in Koramangala, Bengaluru, on July 23, has been arrested by the police from Madhya Pradesh.
After the murder, the accused Abhishek had fled to Madhya Pradesh. On the night of July 23, Abhishek had entered Kriti’s room on the third floor of the PG accommodation and killed her with a knife. The police had registered a case and identified the accused based on CCTV footage.
Abhishek, a native of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, was in a relationship with Kriti Kumari, who was working for a private company. Hence, he used to visit the PG regularly to meet her. However, their relationship had soured recently.
Abhishek had no job in Bengaluru and was hanging out with his girlfriend. Kriti had advised Abhishek to find a job, but he had lied to her saying he had already found one. Kriti had discovered his lie and was trying to distance herself from him and break up. She had also shifted to another PG, which led to Abhishek murdering her.
