Man who rammed his car into police personnel in Bengaluru arrested

BENGALURU: The Magadi Road police have arrested a suspect who rammed his car into police personnel during vehicle checking, injuring two officers, on Rajajinagar West of Chord Road. The accused, identified as Mahadevaswamy alias Ramachari, was fleeing the scene in his Tata Altroz car.

On the night of March 3, police were conducting vehicle checks on Rajajinagar West of Chord Road; the accused was driving the Tata Altroz car. At this time, the police personnel had gestured to Mahadevaswamy to move the vehicle aside for inspection, but he went without stopping the car, hit the police personnel and a police motorcycle.

Two police personnel, Head Constable Dhareppa and constable Karthik, were injured in the incident. The police have registered a case of attempted murder and have taken the accused into custody. The Tata Altroz car used in the incident has also been seized.
