KOPPAL: A court employee who had faked his SSLC marks, but did not even know how to read Kannada, Hindi or English, is now facing legal trouble after a judge ordered a case to be filed against him.
Prabhu Lokare, who was working as a scavenger at the JMFC court here, claimed that he had appeared for the recently concluded SSLC exam as an external candidate at an examination centre in Bagalkot and had secured 623 marks out of 625. Based on this, he had even got a job as a peon at the Yadgir court.
The judge, who expressed doubts about Prabhu Lokare’s SSLC marks on examining his marks card, ordered a case to be registered as he could not read SSLC level Kannada, Hindi or English. The judge also noted that other eligible and meritorious candidates had lost a chance due to the fraud. Based on the judge’s orders, the Koppal police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
