BENGALURU: A woman in Kengeri area was subjected to obscene behaviour by a security guard, identified as Chandrahasan, at a mall.
The guard allegedly unzipped his pants and behaved inappropriately in front of the woman. When she confronted him, he assaulted her, causing injuries to her neck and ear.
The incident occurred when the woman, who owns a shop near the mall, went to speak to the mall’s manager about Chandrahasan’s indecent behaviour. The guard had reportedly been misbehaving with women who visited the mall.
The woman had previously complained about his behaviour, and tensions escalated when she approached the manager. Locals intervened and reprimanded Chandrahasan, and police took him into custody after a public outcry. The woman has filed a complaint with the Kengeri police.
According to Usharani, the complainant said, “The security guard always creates problems. He was targeting me and our business. I have some land issues with the mall owner; when I went to talk about this with the owner, he came and misbehaved with me. I have a kitchen centre and a fish shop near the mall. The mall owner wanted to remove it from that place. They contracted it to security guard, and so he is harassing me. So I gave police complaint”.
