Man tries to steal from ATM and even prays to God, but leaves disappointed

BENGALURU: An unidentified man, who sneaked into an ATM counter to commit theft, prayed to God before committing the act, at Kamakshipalya Main Road near Kaveripuram on Thursday. But the Gods do not seem to have heard his prayers.

In CCTV footage, the thief can be seen entering an Axis Bank ATM at 1 am with necessary tool to steal money. Before getting down to work, he can be seen with folded hands, praying to gods. He got into the ATM counter when there was no security guard and even succeeded in breaking open front part of the ATM, but was soon disappointed as he could not get any further. He tried to pry open the machine till 3 am, but was unsuccessful and finally left the place.

A case has been registered at Kamakshipalya police station and the police are on the lookout for the accused. During preliminary investigation, the police have learnt that the accused works as a supplier in a bar. He committed the act while returning home from work.
