Man throws out mother over property

BENGALURU: A woman was allegedly thrown out of her house by her son and daughter-in-law over a property dispute on the outskirts of the city.

Rangamma, a resident of Veerasagara in Nelamangala taluk, has two daughters and a son and they are all married and settled. She alleged that her son has threatened to kill her and threw her out of the house over a property dispute. The land was a gift from Rangamma’s mother and her son is forcing her to sign the papers in his name.

Rangamma was abused by her son and daughter-in-law over a property dispute.

“Every day, my son verbally abuses and threatens to kill me over a property. Everything was fine until we dug a borewell on our land. They tortured me for money and land. The property was a gift from my mother. I want justice and protection from my son”, said Rangamma.

Sakamma, the president of the Nav Jagrithi Women Empowerment Committee.

“Rangamma came to us seeking protection from her son. A case has been filed, and the court has issued an order, but no one is giving her protection. Eyeing property, her son and daughter-in-law abuse her daily and threaten to kill her. We want justice for her”, said Sakamma, president of the Nav Jagrithi Women Empowerment Committee.
