VIJAYAPUR: A man died on the spot after being hit by a lorry while taking three children to the SSLC examination centre on a motorcycle. The incident took place on National Highway-52 near Kaggoda village in Vijayapura district.
While Venku Chauhan (43), died on the spot, his daughters Aishwarya and Preeti, from Kumatagi Thanda, and their neighbour, Shweta Rathod, were seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to BLDE Hospital in Vijayapura for treatment.
The Vijayapura police visited the spot and seized the lorry bearing Telangana (TS 15 UA 8055) registration.
