BENGALURU: A man was arrested by the Adugodi police for stealing 103 grams of gold from his brother’s cupboard at home to enjoy a trip to Goa with his girlfriend and fulfill her desire.
The accused, Mohammad Irfan, lives at Bande, near Mahalingeshwar, in Adugodi with his brother Salman, sister-in-law, and mother. Salman is a salesman in Sudduguntepalya, but Irfan is unemployed.
The theft came to light on November 29, when the members of the house checked the cupboard. Salman had complained against his younger brother Irfan, who had not come back home for 4-5 days. He stole about 103 grams of gold and fled the house. According to the police source, Irfan mortgaged the gold and went to Goa with his girlfriend and had fun.
The police arrested the accused while he was in Goa. He was remanded to judicial custody.
