Man stabbed to death over argument in Kerala

KOCHI (Kerala) : A man was stabbed to death near Malayattoor bridge in Kerala on Tuesday with a knife over an argument, Police said.

The accused has been identified as Tommy while the deceased as Tinto. According to the police, the incident happened today at 4:30 PM on Tuesday.

“Tinto, who ran a shop at Kodanad Bridge in Malayattoor, had frequently experienced conflicts with his family members. As a result, he had been residing in a lodge in Malayattoor. Recently, Tinto had engaged in a verbal dispute with the brother of the accused, Tommy, which escalated into a physical altercation,” Police said.

After this, the suspect reached Tinto’s shop on the evening of Tuesday and destroyed the goods in the shop. Subsequently, a confrontation ensued between the two and  Tommy stabbed Tinto with the knife he was carrying. Locals rushed Tinto to the hospital when he suffered deep injuries below his neck, but his life could not be saved.

The accused will be produced in court on Wednesday. (ANI)
