BENGALURU: A man was stabbed to death with a knife at a bar in Bannerghatta over a trivial reason. The incident occurred on Friday night, and the victim was identified as Suresh, a resident of Kenchagaiahanadoddi. The accused is Kantaraju.
According to reports, Suresh was working in a garage and had gone to the Tharangini bar in Shanubhoganhalli with friends to drink on Friday night. Meanwhile, the accused and his gang were also drinking and talking loudly in the same bar. Suresh asked them to speak in a low voice, which irked Kantharaju, who asked Suresh who he was to question him.
The argument escalated and a scuffle ensued between Kantharaju and Suresh. After the altercation, Suresh went home, but Kantharaju and his gang followed him. They entered Suresh’s house and stabbed him in the stomach and chest in front of his wife before fleeing the scene.
Suresh was rushed to Victoria Hospital in the city where he succumbed to his injuries. The police, including Bengaluru Rural Additional SP Nagesh Kumar, Anekal Sub-Division Deputy SP Mohan Kumar and Bannerghatta police visited the crime scene. A case has been registered at the Bannerghatta police station, and the police are continuing their search for the accused.
