KALABURAGI: Angry that his electric scooter had not been repaired properly, a man set fire to the electric two-wheeler showroom on Tuesday. While it was initially suspected that an electrical short-circuit had caused the fire, investigation revealed the act of arson and the accused has been arrested on Wednesday.

Mohammed Nadeem was arrested for causing the fire.

Mohammed Nadeem had given his vehicle for repairs at the Ola electric scooter showroom on Humnabad Road. Angry that it had not been fixed properly, he got into an argument with the showroom staff.

Investigation revealed that Nadeem later bought some petrol and lit a fire in the showroom. He is since in police custody and the Chowk police have registered a case.
