CHITRADURGA: A few women took a man to task for selling alcohol illegally on his two-wheeler at Menasinodu village in Hosadurga taluk. He was later handed over to the police.
Shivanna of Karehalli was carrying liqour packaged in tetrapacks in the side pouch of his two-wheeler to sell in different villages. At Menasinodu, he was intercepted by some women who objected to his selling liquor. A video of the incident has gone viral.
The man was later handed over to the Srirampura police who have registered a case. The villagers have demanded that the authorities put a stop to the illegal sale of liquor in villages.
