BENGALURU: A ‘love jihad’ case has ended on a positive note after a woman filed a complaint against her husband. Syed Intiaz, who had married a Hindu Brahmin woman, had allegedly converted her to Islam and then abandoned her and their child.
The incident occurred in BTM Layout, where Syed Intiaz, a Muslim man, had married a Hindu woman, Sristi Tripathy. They had a child together, but after the conversion, he left her and the child. In a self-made video, she claimed that she was thrown out of the house and did not have any money and that her mother-in-law was not supportive of her.
The woman, who was left distraught, approached the police with the help of her lawyer and filed a complaint against her husband. However, as she was filing the complaint, Syed Intiaz arrived at the police station and took the child, reportedly with the intention of reconciling.
