BENGALURU: A man posing as a lawyer and representing clients in court has been caught in Anekal. The fake lawyer, identified as Vaman, was caught by the Anekal Bar Association after he appeared in court wearing a black coat and representing a client.
When questioned, Vaman claimed to be a 2nd-year student at Global Law College. However, it was discovered that Vaman had previously impersonated a lawyer in another case and had been making false claims to gain people’s trust.
He had also claimed to be a Lokayukta lawyer, tarnishing the reputation of the legal profession. The Anekal Bar Association has filed a complaint against Vaman and a case has been registered at the Anekal police station.
