BENGALURU: A software engineer has fallen victim to a delivery scam. Instead of the expensive phone he had ordered online, he was delivered a stone, much to his shock.

The engineer, Premanand, had ordered a Samsung Z Fold 7 phone worth Rs 1.85 lakh on Amazon, but instead of the phone, he received a box containing a stone of similar weight. Premanand had eagerly awaited the delivery and even recorded a video while opening the box, but was shocked to find the stone inside.

Premanand had already paid the full amount for the phone and tried to contact the delivery boy, but the latter didn’t respond. Frustrated, Premanand filed a complaint on the NCRP portal and later at the Kumaraswamy Layout police station. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
