CHIKKODI: An aged man, said to be a sexual deviant, has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl at Badal Plot in Nipani. The incident occurred on August 18 and came to light only after a case was registered at the Nippani police station on August 21.
The accused Asif Bagavan allegedly lured the girl by offering her Rs 10 and touched her private parts. The girl later informed her parents about what had happened following which they assaulted Asif.
On Wednesday, the Nipani Town police arrested the accused and registered a case.
