KALABURAGI: A 42-year-old woman, Nagamma, was killed by her husband at Betagera village in Sedam taluk for allegedly refusing to have sex. The accused has been identified as Shekhappa, who surrendered at the local police station after committing the crime.
According to the preliminary investigation, Shekhappa had demanded sex twice on the night of the incident, but Nagamma refused. This led to an argument, with Shekhappa threatening to kill her. Nagamma them taunted him, challenged him to do it.
Shekhappa strangled her with a rope and then attacked her with an axe. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, and the police suspect a domestic dispute as the motive behind the murder.
A case has been registered at the Sedam police station and further investigation is under way.
