BALLARI: A man was arrested for allegedly killing his son and chopping his body into pieces at Beerabbi village in Hoovina Hadagali taluk.
The victim, Beeresh (25), was allegedly killed by his father, Lakshappa (55), who was suspicious of his wife’s alleged infidelity and believed his son was supporting her.
The police investigation revealed that Lakshappa had killed his son about 15 days ago, chopped his body into pieces, and dumped them in plastic bags. The body was found in a decomposed state, with the clothes on the body helping family members identify it as Beeresh.
Lakshappa, who had been pretending to be normal and was with his family, was arrested after police interrogation. He has confessed to the crime, stating that he killed his son due to his alleged involvement in his wife’s infidelity. A case has been registered at Hirehadagali police station and further investigation is under way.
