Man kills his friend over trivial reason

BENGALURU: A man was arrested for brutally murdering his friend by smashing his head with a stone over a trivial reason at Govindaraj Nagar on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Naresh and the accused is Marimuthu.

Marimuthu did not socialise much. When he was eleven years old, he killed someone in Vijayanagara area and was sent to a remand home.

On Saturday afternoon, Naresh came to drink with Marimuthu at a bar on Nagarabhavi Main Road. At that time, Naresh told Marimuthu that he would tell his fortune and started saying sarcastically that he has bad habits and spends time with girls and he will die in a few years.

Marimuthu was annoyed by this and they fought in the bar. Marimuthu then smashed Naresh’s head with a stone by the side of the road and escaped. Naresh collapsed due to severe bleeding and he died.

A case has been registered at Govindraj Nagar police station and the police visited the spot. The wife of Naresh filed a complaint, and within 24 hours of registering the case, the police arrested the accused.
