BENGALURU: A brazen kidnapping incident has shaken the city, with a gang abducting a man in broad daylight in a case of mistaken identity. The incident occurred at Nagarahole Circle in Byadarahalli, where the gang beat up the victim and bundled him into an autorickshaw.
The kidnappers had apparently been tracking a person named Nata and mistook the victim, Sharat, for him. They called Sharat’s sister, abused her, and demanded to know her brother’s whereabouts. However, after checking Sharat’s phone, they realised their mistake and dropped him off midway.
The police have registered an FIR and are investigating the incident. The victim is shaken, and the police are on the lookout for the kidnappers.
