BENGALURU: An LPG cylinder exploded in a stove repair shop at Mathyanallur village of Anekal taluk, located on the outskirts of the city, leaving one person injured. The injured person was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
The blast occurred while the cylinder was being filled with gas at night. A person who was nearby at the time of the blast ran out, but the entire building was damaged. An adjacent building and several shops belonging to one Lalitha were also badly damaged.
Due to the impact of the blast, metal pieces were flung to the other side of the road. The incident occurred in Surya City police limits at an isolated spot and hence, there was no loss of life. The blast caused panic among the residents of the area, and the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
