BELAGAVI: A man has been arrested for allegedly impregnating a minor girl, in Kulgod police limits in Gokak taluk. The accused Basappa Adiveppa Hallur (32) is a tractor driver.
Basappa, a father of two children, allegedly lured the girl into a physical relationship and she is now eight months pregnant. The parents came to know about the pregnancy when they took her to a doctor. They then lodged a complaint with the Kulgod police.
Based on the parents’ complaint, the Kulgod police have arrested the accused and further investigation is under way.
