CHIKKABALLAPUR: A man was murdered by smashing his head with a boulder in front of a shop in the basement of a commercial building on BB Road here on Wednesday. The body was discovered in the morning by passersby.
The deceased was identified as Srikanth, a resident of Ambedkar Colony. On Tuesday night, he had an argument with his wife and was found murdered on Wednesday morning. The boulder used to kill him was also found at the spot.
Police Superintendent Kushal Chowksi and other senior police officials visited the spot. The Chikkaballapur Town police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
In separate case, a village accountant died in a two-wheeler accident near Mallur village in Sidlaghatta taluk on Tuesday. The deceased Ramesh (28) was working in the Peddur revenue circle in Chintamani taluk. The Sidlaghatta Rural police have registered a case.
