BENGALURU: A man flashed a woman, who was heading to a shop with her husband on a bike, was stopped by him, and behaved indecently. When she objected his misbehaviour, the accused came with a group of men and vandalised her house.

The complainant, Pushparani, was heading to a shop and was stopped by the accused Kartik who allegedly behaved indecently. The incident occurred around 7 pm on Sunday. When the couple objected to Kartik’s behaviour, he came with a gang including Swami, Michael, Dev, Kiran, Tun Tun Das, and more than 50 others, broke into Pushpa’s house, and attacked them.

They smashed windows, CCTV cameras, and flower pots with deadly weapons and bats, creating a ruckus. Pushpa’s father‑in‑law, an ex‑serviceman, and his wife came to stop them, but they were violent and assaulted them.

As the gang’s violence escalated, the family called 112 and sought police assistance. Upon learning that the police were on their way, Kartik and the gang fled the scene.

Based on a complaint filed by Pushparani at the Amruthahalli police station, an FIR has been registered and further investigation is under way.
