KARWAR: A man committed suicide after losing about Rs 65 lakh in online gaming. The deceased has been identified as Vijith Shantarama Hegade (37). This incident took place near Kulve in Sirsi taluk of Uttara Kannada district.
Hegade left home on Friday saying that he would go to Bengaluru, but did not return. After that, it is revealed in a suicide note that he had committed suicide by hanging.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Vijith had lost about Rs 65 lakh in online gambling. A case has been registered in Sirsi Rural police station in this regard.
