Antony Rio Shauri has been accused of cheating over 50 people in Bengaluru of crores of rupees. He allegedly posed as an employee of a private finance company and promised to sell them cars and houses, which had been seized, at low prices.

Several victims had lodged complanits in many stations including Banasawadi and Pulakeshinagar against Shauri. They had been searching for him for over a year. Shauri was finally caught today near Ramaswamy Palya and handed over to the police.

One of the victims said the police had issued 14 warrants for Shauri’s arrest, but they could not trace him. Hence, some of the victims themselves caught him and handed him over to police. They have requested the police to ensure that they get their money back.
