VIJAYAPURA: A 24-year-old man died after he was crushed under the wheels of a chariot during the annual Jatra rathotsav festival at BB Ingalagi village in Devarahipparagi taluk. The deceased has been identified as Devendra Badiger.
The incident took place during the Ghana Gurusiddeshwara temple fair, and the scene of the tragedy was captured on a mobile camera. While pulling the chariot, the man accidentally came under the wheel. Devendra breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
A case has been registered at Kalakeri police station in this regard.
