HASSAN: A man, who had been missing since Thursday, committed suicide by juming into the Hemavathi river on Satuday after his wife eloped with her paramour. The body was found later in the day near Mavinakere in Holenarsipur taluk.
Ravi (38) of Honnavalli village in Holenarsipur taluk was married to Lavanya. However, she had developed a relationship with Pradeep of the same village. After coming to know of this, Ravi had lodged a complaint with the police, but was upset that no action had been taken.
A few days ago, Ravi got into an argument with his wife over her affair when Lavanya called Pradeep and asked him whether he would taken care of her, to which he agreed. About a month ago, Lavanya eloped with Pradeed when she had gone to her parental home.
Ravi was missing since Thursday night and jumped into the river on Saturday morning. His family members have alleged that Lavanya and Pradeep had murdered Ravi and thrown his body into the river.
