KALABURAGI: A man, who was working in the house of Congress MLA from Jewargi and KKRDB chairman Dr Ajay Singh, committed suicide by hanging from a tree at the lawmaker’s house at Sharan Nagar in the city.
The deceased, identified as Devendra Pattedar (29), was working as a watchman, but the cause for suicide was not immediately known. Fingerprint experts visited the spot and a case has been r,gistered at the Brahmapura police station.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Addur Srinivasulu said Devendra was found hanging and the police received information around 5.30 am. “The FSL team and senior officers are at the spot. Devendra was a resident of Pattan village and we are collecting further information. There is no information if Dr Ajay Singh was in the house at that time or the reason for Devendra committing suicide. Further investigation is on”.
