MANGALURU: A man in the city circulated a video in support of Hamas terrorists on social media, calling them as ‘patriotic warriors’.
Zakir, who shared the video on social media, calling Palestinians, Gaza residents and Hamas as patriots, asked people to pray for their victory. Zakir called upon the members of the Vishwa Kabarasthan organisation to offer prayers separately.
Zakir is known as the Taliban in the Mangaluru harbour area. After the controversial video was posted, Hindu activists came down heavily on him as he supported Hamas and demanded his immediate arrest.
