DAVANAGERE: A man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a Class 2 girl on the pretext of giving her chocolates in a village on Friday.
The accused has been identified as Naga. The girl was playing in front of the house when she was sexually assaulted on the pretext of giving chocolates. The parents had left their daughter at home and had gone to work.
The incident came to light when the parents returned from work in the evening. A POCSO case has been registered at the Davanagere Rural police station against the accused and he has been arrested. The girl is being treated in the hospital.
