BENGALURU: A man, accused of cheating people of Rs 70 lakh in the name of organising Maha Kumbh Mela tour packages, was arrested by Govindarajanagar police.
The accused, Raghavendra Rao, advertised tour packages under the name Panchajanya Tours and Travels. He promised a 7-day tour package to Ayodhya, Kashi and Prayagraj for Rs 49,000 per person.
Rao allegedly cheated around 20 people, after collecting a total of Rs 70 lakh from them. A case was filed at the Govindarajanagar police station, and the accused is currently being questioned.
