BENGALURU: A man attacked his wife and mother-in-law with a sword, suspecting his wife’s fidelity in Banashanakri. The accused husband is Asif and the injured are Heena Kausar (25) and Farveen Taj.
The incident took place on January 14 behind the Banashankari temple and came to light late only now. Asif had been married to Heena for 10 years and the couple have two children. However, he had been suspecting her character for some time and had been harassing her.
It is alleged that the husband, who had an extramarital affair with another woman, was constantly harassing her saying that she was having an illicit relationship after seeing the messages her wife had sent to her college friends.
Heena had been working to support her family, but Asif’s harassment continued. He had tried to attack them thrice earlier. On the day of the incident, Asif suddenly entered his wife’s house, where she was living with her mother, and attacked them with a sword.
The victims were rushed to Victoria Hospital with the help of locals, where they are undergoing treatment. Asif has been arrested by the police.
