KOLAR: A fast-track POCSO court has awarded 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and levied a fine of Rs 40,000 to a man convicted of sexually assaulting a minor girl. The convict is Raghu, a resident of Koratagere who hails from Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu.
Raghu was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor in October 2023 and a case was registered at the women’s police station in Kolar, who had filed the chargesheet. Fast-track court judge B K Prasad also ordered that the victim’s family be given Rs 5 lakh as compensation.
