GADAG: The husband of a former president of the municipal council was locked up in a house and thrashed by a few women for allegedly sexually exploiting one of them by making false promises, in Mundargi. A video of the incident is now doing the rounds on social media.
Andappa Ullagaddi, a BJP leader, allegedly sexually assaulted the victim after promising her money, a residential site and a job. Fed up of his harassment, the victim, along with her sister, locked him up in their house and thrashed him with footwear and tore his shirt.
When the women were taking him to the police station, Andappa reportedly made good his escape. The incident occurred under Mundargi police limits
