BIDAR: A devastating fire broke out in a shed at Borala village in Aurad taluk claiming the lives of a person and 45 goats. The victim, 65-year-old Shankar Eragonda Mehtre, was sleeping in the shed with his goats when an electrical short circuit sparked the fire.
The fire engulfed the shed, trapping Shankar inside. Despite efforts by the fire department, Shankar and the goats were burnt beyond recognition. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The incident has left the village in shock, with locals mourning the loss of life and livelihood.
