Malleswaram blast accused assaulted in jail for writing letter to court

BENGALURU: Malleswaram bomb blast accused Sayyed Ali was allegedly assaulted by five other inmates at the Central jail for writing a confession letter to the trial court. An FIR was registered and the police interrogated the accused, but then they threatened Sayyed again in jail.

Hence, the police are preparing to shifting the accused Kitchan Buhari, Shihauddin, Sirajuddin, Ahammed Bava, Zulfikar Ali, Bilal Ahmed and others to separate jails in Shivamogga, Belagavi, Mysuru, Ballari and Tumakuru.

The jail superintendent has written a letter to the court in this regard. After shifting them, the jail authorities may also shift the accused involved in Shivamogga blast case.

The all accused were arrested in connection with the bomb blast near the BJP office in 2013 and are supporters of the banned Al Ummah outfit.
